Authorization Process
TAPS requires students to have a doctor's note as medical justification for use of the Disability Van Service (DVS). Authorization can be obtained through the Health Center, the Disability Resource Center, or your personal physician.

Students with UCSHIP insurance or with the CruzCare access plan can be seen at the health center without any fees. Additionally, students without campus insurance can be seen by the triage nurse, who may be able to provide medical justification, without any fees. Fees would only be incurred if there was need for further evaluation by clinicians.

Students with UCSHIP insurance or with the CruzCare access plan can be seen at the SHS for a visit for illness or injury without any fees.
