Campus Transit Shuttle Service During Move In
Students should always choose UCSC Campus Transit buses (also known as "shuttles") for on-campus travel and reserve use of Metro buses to get to off-campus destinations. Paying a fare and showing a bus pass is not required to ride campus shuttle buses.

On Friday, 9/26 there will be a shuttle from the East Remote parking lot to Cowell and Crown every 10 minutes from 9:00am to 5:40pm.

On Saturday 9/27 there will be a shuttle from the East Remote parking lot to Cowell, Stevenson, and Crown every 20 minutes from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

On Saturday 9/27 day shuttles (Loop route) will operate from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Night Loop buses, and East and West Night Core buses, will also be operating.

On Sunday 9/28 there will be a shuttle from the East Remote parking lot to Colleges 9 and 10 every 20 minutes from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

On Sunday 9/28 day shuttles (Upper Campus route) will operate from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Night Owl service between campus and downtown Santa Cruz will operate on Saturday and Sunday night.

Metro Bus Service
For travel to off-campus destinations students can ride Santa Cruz Metro buses by showing their UCSC student ID card or a temporary Metro bus pass provided to new students by their college or housing unit (if the student hasn't obtained a student ID card).

Students should always try to select Campus Transit shuttle buses (referred to as campus shuttles) for on-campus travel, and limit use of Metro buses for times when they need to get to and from off-campus destinations (i.e. to go to downtown Santa Cruz or to shop off-campus).

Full school-term Metro and Campus Transit service will begin on Monday, 9/29. When using Metro buses to get to off campus destinations students should primarily use routes 10, 15, 16 and 19; use of Route 20 Westside buses should be reserved for those going to west Santa Cruz destinations.
