TAPS Home | Spring Spotlight and Spring Tours Parking Spring Spotlight Parking and Spring Tours Parking Spring Spotlight Parking If you are pre-registered for a weekday tour, present your e-confirmation to the parking attendant and purchase a $4 parking permit. This permit will be valid in designated tour parking lots and post-tour parking in the East Remote parking lot. You will be directed by campus tour guides to board a Spring Spotlight shuttle (9am to 3:30pm). Please note that Santa Cruz Metro buses stop at campus bus stops, but charge $2 per ride. After your tour is complete you will board a Spring Spotlight shuttle across from Cowell/Stevenson Apartments (12pm to 5:30pm) to be returned to the Barn Theater. If you wish to remain on campus, you must move your vehicle to the East Remote parking lot. If you are not pre-registered for a tour, tell the attendant that you will take a self-guided tour. You will purchase a $4 parking permit from the attendant and be directed to the East Remote parking lot. (Exit left from the Barn Theater lot and continue up Coolidge Drive. Make a left turn at the second traffic signal onto Hagar Drive. Turn right into the East Remote lot, and park.) Saturday (April 6th and 13th) Spring Spotlight guests should enter campus through the UCSC Main Entrance at Bay and High Streets, and continue up Coolidge Drive. Make a left turn at the second traffic signal onto Hagar Drive. Turn right into the East Remote parking lot. (Parking permits aren’t required in the East Remote on weekends.) Special event buses will run from inside the East Remote parking lot to the Quarry Plaza starting at 9am. Shuttles to return to the East Remote will depart the Quarry Plaza until 5pm. There is no regular campus shuttle service during the day on weekends, so your best options are to walk or use Spring Spotlight special event buses. Please note that Santa Cruz Metro buses stop at campus bus stops, but charge $2 per ride. Spring Tours Parking Spring Tour visitors should enter campus through the UCSC Main Entrance at Bay and High Streets, follow the Spring Tours signs and park in the Barn Theater (large barn structure) Lot. Purchase a $4 parking permit from the parking lot attendant. Follow the parking lot attendant's instructions about where you need to park (based on whether you are pre-registered for a tour). This permit will be valid in designated tour parking lots and post-tour parking in the East Remote parking lot. Please note that those not pre-registered for a tour should walk to the Admissions Cookhouse (next to the Barn Theater parking lot) upstairs reception desk to ask about a stand-by reservation or a free self-guided tour map.
