Home | Parking Permit Information | Undergraduate Student Parking Permits Parking Permits for Undergraduate Students Parking Prohibition for Residential Freshmen and Sophomore Students First and second-year students (students with less than 90 units) that reside in on- or off-campus University housing facilities are not eligible to purchase a permit (except motorcycle permits) to park on-campus. Learn more about the student parking prohibition. Determining Eligibility NOTE: TAPS staff only see your standing in the Academic Information System (AIS), and cannot see your actual units. If AIS does not show your actual credits, please contact the Registrar's Office or your college to get written verification for TAPS. C Parking Permits All C Permits are sold out for the 2012-13 school year. To be placed on the C Permit wait list send an email to Andrew Klein that includes your full name, your UCSC student ID number, and the C Permit parking lot (from the list below) that you want to be waitlisted for. C permits are lot-specific. The cost is $519.75 for 9/15/12 through 6/15/13. On your application, you may specify up to three lots (in order of your preference) where you would be willing to park. Most C permit parking is in lots that are shared by A, B, and C permit holders, unless otherwise indicated. TAPS will monitor permit sales in order not to “oversell” the lots; however, when a parking lot is full on any given day, the C permit holder will have to park in a remote lot. The following lots are C Permit lots (view map here):
TAPS will create and maintain wait lists for each C lot. Campus residents will be given first priority for C permits; after September 1st, any remaining C permits will be allocated to commuting students. When your name reaches the top of the wait list, TAPS will check the availability of the lots you specified on your application. If all of those lots are sold out, you will automatically be issued and charged for a remote (R) permit. R Remote Lot Parking Permits for Eligible Undergraduate Students All commuting students (except those that live in UCSC Housing facilities) regardless of grade level, and Junior, Senior, and Transfer students (with a minimum of 90 units) that reside in University housing may purchase a R Remote Lot parking permit valid in the East and West Remote and the North Perimeter lots on campus, as available. R permits can currently be purchased for the academic year or on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Annual and Academic year R permits can be purchased on-line; R Monthly-$64, R Weekly-$18, and R Daily-$4 permits, must be purchased from the TAPS Sales Office. Other Permit Options: |
