Metro Bus Service
For travel to off-campus destinations students can ride Santa Cruz Metro buses by showing their UCSC student ID card or a temporary Metro bus pass provided to new students by their college or housing unit (if the student hasn't obtained a student ID card).

On Thursday, 9/20 and Friday, 9/21 Metro buses will operate on the non-school term schedule (trips marked ST will not operate on 9/20 – 9/21). Weekend school term (ST) Metro service starts on Saturday, September 22nd; weekday school term (ST) Metro service starts on Monday, September 24th (get Metro service calendar details). Use routes 10, 16, and 19 to go to/from downtown Santa CruzMetro bus schedules are available at www.scmtd.com.

When using Metro buses to get to off campus destinations students should primarily use routes 10, 15, 16 and 19. Use of Route 20 Westside should be reserved for travel to Western Drive and other west Santa Cruz destinations. Use of Route 22 Coastal Science Campus should be reserved for travel to Western Drive and the Coastal Science Campus.
