Metro Bus Service
For travel to off-campus destinations students can ride Santa Cruz Metro buses by showing their UCSC student ID card or a temporary Metro bus pass provided to new students by their college or housing unit (if the student hasn't obtained a student ID card).

Full school-term Metro and Campus Transit service will begin on Monday 9/24/18. At that time students should always try to select Campus Transit shuttle buses (look for the slug logo) for on-campus travel, and limit use of Metro buses for times when they need to get to and from off-campus destinations (i.e. to go to downtown Santa Cruz or to shop off-campus).

When using Metro buses to get to off campus destinations students should primarily use routes 10, 15, 16 and 19. Use of Route 20 Westside should be reserved for travel to Western Drive and other west Santa Cruz destinations. Use of Route 22 Coastal Science Campus should be reserved for travel to Western Drive and the Coastal Science Campus.

Metro bus schedules are available at www.scmtd.com.
