Need A Parking Permit?

Undergraduate students who need a parking permit may purchase an R Remote Permit for $237 that is valid from the beginning of winter quarter through the end of spring quarter. R Permits may also be purchased by the day for $4, by the week for $18, or by the month for $64. C Permits are sold out for the remainder of the school year.

Those who want to purchase a permit for the remainder of the school year can apply on-line. Allow at least three business days for processing and then visit the TAPS Sales Office to pick up your permit. Bring your vehicle registration (sample), with you to show to the TAPS Sales Office representative. A photo ID (Driver's License or UCSC Student ID card) is necessary to pick up your permit.

To purchase a permit by the day, week, or month bring your photo ID & vehicle registration (sample) to the TAPS Sales Office. The Sales Office is open Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that the Sales Office closes promptly at 5:00 p.m.; customers still in line at 5:00 p.m. will need to return the next business day to conduct their transaction.

Graduate students and employees who have not previously purchased a permit should complete the on-line application prior to stopping at the TAPS Sales Office.
