Santa Cruz METRO Fares and Survey

June 11, 2020

Beginning June 15th, Santa Cruz METRO will begin collecting fares again for county transit. For UCSC affiliates, existing, non-expired bus passes will continue to be valid through the month of June. TAPS is currently in the process of solidifying a contract with METRO for the upcoming fiscal year, so new bus passes are not available just yet. However, all current bus pass holders and the campus community will be notified for renewal as soon as the contract is in place and 2020-2021 bus passes can be issued. Students will be able to continue using their student ID with a valid quarter sticker to ride METRO fare free.

Santa Cruz METRO is also conducting a survey to assess their service post-COVID-19. Please read the message from METRO below to take this brief 5-minute survey.
