San Jose Airport Ground Transportation
Highway 17 Express Bus to San Jose Diridon Station
Combine train & bus travel to get from the San Jose Airport to the UC Santa Cruz campus.
From San Jose Airport to UC Santa Cruz
- Take VTA (Valley Transit Authority) Route 60 bus to the Santa Clara Caltrain station.
- Ride the ACE Express to the San Jose Diridon ($4.75) Caltrain/Amtrak station.
- Take the Santa Cruz METRO Highway 17 Express bus ($7) to the METRO center in downtown Santa Cruz.
- Take any University bus route (10, 15, 18, 19, or 20; $2, or free with Student ID) to UC Santa Cruz campus.
From UC Santa Cruz to San Jose Airport
- Take any University bus route (10, 15, 18, 19, or 20; $2, or free with Student ID) to the METRO Center in downtown Santa Cruz.
- Take the Santa Cruz METRO Highway 17 Express bus ($7) to San Jose Diridon Station.
- Ride the ACE Express to the Sana Clara ($4.75) Caltrain/Amtrak station.
- Take VTA (Valley Transit Authority) Route 60 bus to the airport.

SFO Airport Ground Transportation
San Francisco Airport (SFO) is approximately 62 miles from the UC Santa Cruz campus.
- Catch a BART train at the SFO International Terminal; the SFO BART Station is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (Boarding Area G side). BART is easily accessed from any terminal by riding SFO's free AirTrain to the Garage G/BART Station stop.
- Take BART to Caltrain at the Millbrae station.
- Take Caltrain to the San Jose Diridon station.
- Take the Santa Cruz METRO Highway 17 Express bus to METRO center in downtown Santa Cruz.
- Take any University bus route (10, 15, 18, 19, or 20; $2, or free with Student ID) to UC Santa Cruz campus.
Oakland Airport (OAK) is approximately 63 miles from the UC Santa Cruz campus. Travel options to campus from OAK are limited and multiple transfers on buses and trains are required.
- Take BART from the Oakland Int'l Airport BART Station located just across from the Terminal 1 baggage claim area and a short walk from Terminal 2.
- Get off at the Coliseum BART station (700 73rd Avenue).
- Take a westbound Amtrak Capitol Corridor train to the San Jose Diridon station.
- Take the Santa Cruz METRO Highway 17 Express bus to METRO center in downtown Santa Cruz.
- Take any University bus route (10, 15, 18, 19, or 20; $2, or free with Student ID) to UC Santa Cruz campus.
