Do you want to represent your fellow students and be a part of transportation on campus? TAPS is searching for both graduate and undergraduate student representatives to serve on The Advisory Committee on Campus Transportation and Parking (ACCTP).
ACCTP reviews policies, plans, capital improvement projects, and both existing and proposed transportation, parking, and circulation programs and services for the UCSC main campus, the UC Santa Cruz Westside Research Park located at 2300 Delaware Avenue, and the Coastal Science Campus. In addition, the committee is also engaged in discussions about the transportation-related services at other campus-owned facilities and satellite campuses.Their primary objective of ACCTP is to recommend a sustainable funding model that a) ensures adequate support of programs, services and infrastructure to provide access to campus-owned facilities and b) aligns with campus goals related to sustainability and the limits imposed on campus by the Long Range Development Plan (LRDP).
The committee will advise on annual updates to the long term Parking and Transit Plans, and associated measures necessary to support them. Staff to the Committee will provide data and analysis to inform decision-making, such as traffic counts, mode split data, parking utilization, transit ridership trends, survey results, and budget documents.
ACCTP meets once per month with the schedule finalized at the beginning of each fall quarter. Additional meetings may be added as necessary.
If you want to get involved and join ACCTP, email taps@ucsc.edu to express your interest and get more information.
