Metro Bus Service
For travel to off-campus destinations students can ride Santa Cruz Metro buses by showing their UCSC student ID card or a temporary Metro bus pass provided to new students by their college or housing unit (if the student hasn't obtained a student ID card).

Full school-term Metro and Campus Transit service will begin on Monday 9/23. At that time students should always try to select Campus Transit shuttle buses for on-campus travel, and limit use of Metro buses for times when they need to get to and from off-campus destinations (i.e. to go to downtown Santa Cruz or to shop off-campus).

When using Metro buses to get to off campus destinations students should primarily use routes 10, 15, 16 and 19; use of Route 20 Westside buses should be reserved for those going to west Santa Cruz destinations.

Metro bus schedules are available at www.scmtd.com.
