Santa Cruz Bike Month officially kicked off May 1st and goes for the whole month of May. Biking is booming all over the world including here in Santa Cruz. New bike infrastructure is being added, people are dusting off their bike after years, bikes are selling like crazy, and all of the sudden bikes seem to be everywhere! We have a unique opportunity to support and sustain thousands of riders across the county.
Whether you are new to biking or ride every day, there is some fun in here for everyone. Get some fresh air, connect with your family, get your heart pumping, or simply get from point a to b with no emissions. Some of us are commuting to work, others are still working from home, so get out for whatever ride feels good to you and help Santa Cruz County mobilize thousands of community members to get out on two wheels this May.
Ecology Action has Santa Cruz Bike Challenge running all month long with rad prizes to local bike shops, a $1000 individual prize, and a special $2000 grand prize for a local employer (like us!)
