2019/20 Undergrad Parking Permit Application Now Live

May 21, 2019

Undergraduate students who are eligible for parking may order their 2019/20 permit now by using the on-line application. All students should apply for a permit now, regardless of payment method. Permits will be charged to your student bill unless you indicate "payment by credit card" in the comment section of the application. If you indicate that you want to pay by credit card, TAPS staff will contact you when the credit card payment option opens in August.

Using alternative transportation reduces parking impact and helps keep our campus sustainable:

  • Want to carpool, but don't have anyone to carpool with? Sign up for UCSC's Zimride system using your campus email address to find other students making the same commute you are.
  • Did you know that students can ride METRO buses fare-free throughout Santa Cruz County, including on Campus? All that's needed is a valid student ID.
  • Or have you considered riding a bike, but you don't have one or yours is in need of maintenance? Check out our bike programs including the bike lending library, and bike maintenance workshops. Find out more on our Bike Programs page.

*** Finally, only two days left to Vote Yes on Transit! – Yes on 73! at elections.ucsc.edu.  This crucial measure aims to help reduce parking demand on campus and also to meet sustainability and carbon neutrality goals. Should it fail, service levels for both METRO and Campus Transit will continue to be reduced or eliminated.  Thank you in advance for your support!
